DECISIONS (Spoken Word)

What’s a promise, if one cannot fulfill it?
What are lyrics, if one cannot sing them?
What is love, if both do not share it?

Rarely, is there a case of love without passion…
And yet, passion without love is a regular affiliation of our generation.

One mistake after another,
Men have become the everlasting dogs of time,

Women,
The hell burdened maidens of hate and incoherence.

What makes accusations such as these true?

The thoughts of those simply willing to believe them.
It’s the decisions,

The decisions one chooses to confide in to fix life’s issues,
Those strange calamities that no one is able to set aside for later.

No…
Not the dirty secret one must bring to light,

Nor,
Is it the disrupted state of one’s own sin,

It’s the decision to stay bonded…
Bonded by the one thing that makes people SUPER people.

It is the feeling that rivals all feelings…

Motivates all nations,

The heart, and cause of every war ever worth fighting…

I was told
To take my time…
It’s sad I had no one to ask for guidance…
This normally would sift right through me, but,

It surprisingly struck a different string on my mind because it was so inevitably true.

Maybe faith has its place for a reason…
It… enables…

Decisions make it hard to fix anything if that in itself is not able to be made.

Believing that faith was simply an excuse to picking an easier choice,

Is naive.

Turns out it's simply a crutch for one’s transparent emotional placement.

Striving to be better than the stereotype is more difficult than expected,
Since every move I make I feel the judgment upon me…

Almost like eyes staring through me,
Across the way, a gray  sea,
Separating the two subjects,
Eternally holding them back from where they could be.

Who’d want to be free?

Free from so many opinions, unbounded by so few things,
Making it difficult to ever return again…

Sometimes forgetting who we're living for…
That is an important question now a days,
And when making a decision of love,
You should never forget to ask yourself,

Are they worth it,
The trouble with decisions of love is considering the best option for both,
Even if the second party overlooks themselves.

Think….

Think harder…

And yet,
Think again…

Could you live knowing you may loose everything?
Forever?

Would there be resentment if you said yes?
What about no?

Would it be fair…
That is what I always have trouble answering…

Fairness…
The concept of equivalent exchange…
The oldest part of the book no doubt.

Is it what’s right?
Is it what I want?

Enough…

Thinking should be dubbed overrated…
It helps one day,

Yet a waste another…
DECIDE…
Before life itself is too late,
Too dark to really see,
